We are currently hiring for the following roles:

Loan processing support/administrator (full time)

Compensation: Salary HKD202,500 + bonus

The Job

This role is supporting our brokers and clients in the processing of a loan. Once we have helped a business client determine which type of finance is most suitable for them, we then need to process the application and this is what this role will do. You’ll help the client complete the application forms and provide the information requested. then present this to a lender in the format they want to see and if the loan is approved you’ll guide the client through the steps to get the finance drawn down. We have processes for almost all of this and you’ll also help maintain these as they change. This role will see you exposed to all aspects of commercial finance so may suit someone who wants to start a career in finance or change their current career to finance. In time, there is an opportunity to graduate to being a client-facing commercial finance broker should you wish (but not necessary). Full training will be provided

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Helping the financing process client applications. This means following up with paperwork to applicants, helping them complete application forms and submitting cases to lenders. You will work on the phone and on email with both applicants and lenders.
  • Maintaining the database of lenders we work with. Knowing what each lender’s criteria are and what they will/won’t lend for is the backbone of what we do so keeping this information up to date is crucial
  • Updating our LinkedIn page with suitable content

Commercial Finance Broker/Business Loan Adviser (full time)

Compensation: Salary + Bonus (OTE HKD402-525,000)

The Job

Helps businesses find the right finance option and deals with over 100 different lenders in this regard. We are looking for an experienced commercial finance broker to join our team bringing knowledge in sectors such as commercial mortgages, bridging loans, asset finance or invoice finance. This role will see you based in our Hong Kong central office (though at the moment we’re only there 1-2 days a week) in a team of 4 dealing with business clients looking for commercial finance. The enquiries are all inbound and we do not make cold calls.

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Sourcing SME clients looking for finance and the advisers to SME clients looking for finance
  • Helping them explore options to find the most suitable option and then 
  • Networking locally to foster our network of professionals who refer business to us
  • Maintain a relationship with the borrower to serve future finance requirements
  • Participate in pro-bono/charity initiatives for the firm from time to time e.g. speaking in schools about finance, helping at a local foodbank etc.

Requirements

  • Commercial finance broking experience (min 3 years) though we will also look at hiring someone with B2B sales and training them
  • Relationships with existing lenders and/or borrowers are a bonus
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Be relentlessly helpful

The key thing with this role is interpersonal skills. All the finance can be easily taught to a willing learner but softer skills like knowing how to communicate well, engender trust with clients on the phone/over email and deal with people in sometimes tricky situations is more an innate character trait. Marketing & Communications manager (part time)

FTE HKD340-355,000

The Job

Helps businesses find the right finance option and deals with over 100 different lenders in this regard. We are looking for a Marketing & Communications Manager with a mandate to maintain and build the business brand by marketing, PR and account management, ultimately resulting in increased business and revenue.

This is a 2-3 days a week part-time job, with a lot of flexibility around how you spread your hours across the week. You would be required to attend team daily team calls 3-4 days times per week. Once the team returns to a regular schedule of working from the central office, you will be required to attend on at least 1 day a week. These requirements ensure essential interaction is maintained with the team which is needed for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  1. Developing a forward-looking content strategy to include blogging, social media (LinkedIn and Twitter), PR (with industry journalists).
  2. Ideating and identifying content opportunities during team calls and by keeping abreast of industry news.
  3. Writing, sharing and publishing content in line with the content strategy and commission relevant guest content.
  4. Engage the rest of the team for example advising on clients to contact based on responses to marketing or on action to take on social media.
  5. Build and maintain communication strategies for partners and clients. This will include email, newsletters, face-to-face meetings and sometimes organising events. It should cover existing Introducers and building relationships with new ones.
  6. Manage the client and introducers database, keeping an eye on deliverability issues and creating strategies to ensure our message is reaching them – for example maintaining a spreadsheet of those who can’t be reached via group comms ensuring they are reached differently.
  7. Manage the Google My Business Account, for example keeping information up to date, adding blog links, responding to reviews (and pulling out a review for occasional social content).
  8. Keeping an eye on Google Analytics and adjusting website content accordingly.
  9. Managing the brand image; ensuring the way the business presents itself in its various communications is in line with the brand guide.
  10. Excellent writing skills, a good eye for a story and top notch content/social media management skills are required. PR and / or marketing and/or finance industry experience are a big plus.
